Chinese Language, Culture, Tai Chi and Cooking
Week-long Summer Camp: – ages 5-12

Join with artist/teacher/chef/t’ai chi master Cai Xi for a rich, engaging and memorable week learning Chinese language through arts and movement. Explore Chinese painting, calligraphy, book making, Chinese craft, dance and story telling performance. Along practice speaking and writing Chinese. T’ai chi and t’ai chi sword movement. We are learning cooking with locally grown produce in a fine art gallery with lots of songs and laughter.

$525 for the week, per student
$425 for a second child of the family

Daily schedule for the week:
8:00 – 8:30 Breakfast (optional) – a Chinese home recipe: Summer
cooling porridge, steamed bun with pickled vegetable
8:30 – 9:00 Circle / Orientation
9:00- 9:20 Morning exercises
9:20 -10:00 Chinese Language (conversations, writing, songs, crafts,games)
10:00 -10:15 Snack
10:15 -11:00 Arts lessons (Chinese painting, calligraphy, book making,
` mask making)
11:00 -11:45 Cooking lessons
11:45 -12:30 Lunch
12:30 -12:45 Clean up
12:45 -1:15 Tai Chi Sword w/ Cai
1:15 – 2:00 Splash-splosh
2:00 – 2:45 Story time; acting; performance
2:45 – 3:00 Circletime: Group reflection

Parents are invited to join us for the last day feast, exhibition and performance to celebrate our weeklong growth.
